James Wright to Isabella Gardner, August 17, 1966. Wright invites Gardner to read poetry with him at the Poetry Center at the YMHA on the request of Galen Williams. He understands if she does not wish to participate, but he would love for her to read poetry with him. Wright says that he has been rereading her book "West of Childhood" and is still amazed at the depth of feeling within her poems.
